FAQ

What are the goals of a FREE consult call?

  • We identify your unique goals for EF coaching

  • I walk you through my coaching process

  • We identify if we are the right fit for each other

What age group do you work with? I work with adolescents and teens ages 11-18, my expertise is middle school years.

What is the difference between coaching and tutoring?

How does online coaching work? Is it as effective as in-person coaching? I provide online coaching for all. In my experience, I have found that online coaching works just as well as in-person coaching. Thanks to modern technology, virtual clients stay busy during a session using screen sharing, google Docs, dry-erase board, journaling, slides, and visuals, etc. Not to mention all clients receive a welcome-to-coaching package with tools to support coaching session & homework time. Online coaching also makes it easier for families to find the perfect expert who fits their needs. Plus, it offers the flexibility to schedule sessions around your busy life. It also prevents stopping the positive momentum of a student when we end a session. They can jump straight into homework or studying instead of having to hop into a car after a session. It’s a convenient way to support your student's growth and development right from home.

How are the cost of your services broken down? There is a non refundable intake fee before starting services. It will be prorated to you coaching package after the discovery phase is over prior to starting weekly coaching sessions. Coaching services are bundled into all inclusive packages (Trimester, Semester & Full School Year & Summer). Please email me for cost of coaching packages.

What does the 1st 3 weeks of coaching look like?

Why do I ask for a 12 week commitment? Executive function skills take time to build. These are brain based skills like planning, organization, time management, and follow through. They are still developing well into the late 20s and sometimes even into the early 30s. That means growth happens through steady practice, not quick fixes. A 12 week commitment gives us time to build trust, identify the right strategies, practice them consistently, and track small wins together. Every student’s profile is different, so progress depends on which skills need strengthening and how delayed they are. Real change comes from repetition, reflection, and support over time. That is what this commitment allows us to do.

How do you communicate between sessions? I provide structured support between sessions so students are not doing this alone. I send accountability texts to students during the week to prompt follow through, reinforce new habits, and offer encouragement in real time. Students can also reach out by text or email for quick check ins or small problem solving moments. I monitor grades and school portals as part of our weekly rhythm. Caregivers receive a short session summary each week along with practical parent support suggestions, plus a monthly family check in to review progress and goals. When helpful, I communicate with a student’s school team or related service providers to keep everyone aligned and working toward the same goals. The goal is steady, supportive communication that builds independence while keeping the whole team connected.

What is your cancelation policy? I have a 24-hour cancellation policy for your scheduled sessions. Please contact me at least 1 days (24 hours) before your scheduled session to reschedule your session. Cancellations less than 24 hours of your scheduled session are non-refundable. I do keep in mind emergency situations and illness.
